Acute Angle | angle that is less than 90 degrees. |
Obtuse Angle | angle that is more than 90 degrees and less than 180 degrees |
Right Angle | angle that is exactly 90 degrees. A small square is the symbol for this angle. |
Straight Angle | angle that is exactly 180 degrees |
Scalene Triangle | triangle that has NO congruent sides |
Vertex | the common endpoint of 2 rays (point where 2 rays/sides meet and form angle) |
Degrees | unit used to measure angles. |
Acute Triangle | triangle that has all acute angles. |
Right Triangle | triangle that has one right angle. |
Obtuse Triangle | triangle that has one obtuse angle. |
Angle | 2 sides/rays with a common endpoint. |
Isosceles Triangle | triangle that has at least 2 congruent sides |
Equilateral Triangle | triangle with all 3 congruent sides. |
Sum of angles in a triangle | 180 degrees |
Complimentary Angles | Sets of angles that add up to 90 degrees. |
Supplementary Angles= | Sets of angles that add up to 180 degrees |
Triangle | A shape with 3 sides and 3 angles. The sum of the angles is 180 degrees. |
