Graduated Cylinder | A piece of laboratory equipment used to measure the volume of a liquid. |
Triple Beam Balance | It measures mass of a given object. |
Waft | pass or cause to pass a smell easily or gently through or as if through the air. |
Scientific Method | A process of steps taken to help keep track or help correct any mistakes. |
Mass | Mass is a body of matter. |
Density | Density is the the degree of compactness of a substance. |
Chemical change | A change that produces a new substance. |
Physical change | A physical change changes with energy and states of matter. |
Proton | The positive charge in the nucleus which also defines the element. |
Neutron | The neutron has no charge and is located in the nucleus. Different number makes an isotope. |
Electron | The electron has a negative charge and is located in the electron cloud. |
Balanced Force | Having no charge in the movement of an object. |
Unbalanced Force | Produces a change of the motion of an object. |
Force | Force is a push or pull. |
Direction | Something that is moving/facing. |
Acceleration | The change in speed or velocity. |
Velocity | An object's speed and direction. |
Speed | How fast something is going. |
Newton's 1st Law | An object in motion/rest will stay in motion/rest until acted on by an unbalanced force. |
Newton's 2nd Law | The acceleration of an object directly depends on the force put onto the object and the mass of the object. |
Newton's 3rd Law | For every action there is an equal but opposite force. |
