NEO-MALTHUSIANtheory that builds upon Malthus’ thoughts on overpopulation. Takes into count two factors that Malthus did not: population growth in LDC’s, and outstripping of resources other than food
OVERPOPULATIONThe # of people in an area exceeds the capacity of the environment to support life at a decent standard of living
POPULATION DENSITIESA measurement of the number of people per givin unit of land
POPULATION DISTRIBUTIONSDescription of locations on the Earths surface where populations live
POPULATION EXPLOSIONThe rapid growth of the worlds human population during the past century, attended by ever-shorter doubling-times and accelerating rates of increase
