Asthenosphere   Plasticlike layer of the Earth on which the lithospheric plates float and move around
Seafloor spreading   Hess's theory that new seafloor is formed when magma is forced upward toward the surface of the mid-ocean rudge
Pangaea   A super large contient that existed a long time ago.
Plate Tectonics   Theory that Earth's crust and upper mantle are broken into plates rhar float and move around on a plasticlike layer if the mantle.
Prime Meridian   Imaginary line that represents 0 degree longitude and runs from the north pole through Greenwich, England, to the south pole
Earthquake   Movement of the ground that occurs when rocks inside Earth pass their elastic limit, break suddenly, and experience elastic rebound.
