What is the difference between horizontal and vertical lines?   vertical lines lead the eye up and horizontal lines lead the eye from left to right.  
What is the golden mean?   a 3 to 5 ratio  
What is the difference between shape and form?   shape is 2-D and form is 3-D  
What are the five types of balance?   vertical, horizontal, radial, informal, formal  
What does unity or harmony mean?   It is how well the piece works together and if everything goes well together.  
What are the two things texture involves?   it involves how the texture feels and/or how it looks like it feels.  
What are the four types of line?   vertical, horizontal, diagonal, curved  
What is proportion?   how the design is visually divided.  
Which of the five types of line suggests excitement or interest?   diagonal lines  
What is symmetrical balance? Example?   It is even on both sides. a clock  
What is emphasis? What is another name for it?   emphasis is one item or object that stands out. FOCAL POINT.  
What happens when you use a continuous line?   It guides the eye around the room.  
What is another name for symmetrical balance?   formal balance  
What is another name for asymmetrical balance?   informal balance  
What is the difference between gradation and radiation?   gradation is a variation in an element of design. radiation is lines or designs move out from center point.
