What is an improper fraction? | A fraction where the numerator is bigger than the denominator

What is a mixed number? | A fraction that has a whole number followed by a fraction

How do you change an improper fraction to a mixed number? | Divide the numerator by the denominator, write down the whole number that you get as the answer, lastly write down any remainder above the denominator

How do you change a mixed number to an improper fraction? | Multiply the whole number part by the denominator, add the answer to the numberator, write the result on top of the denominator

What is a proper fraction? | The numerator is smaller than the denominator
