When would you use a triple beam balance?   When trying to find the mass of an object. EX: During lab, you you try to find the mass of a rock.  
What should you do when you break something during a lab?   Tell the teacher as soon as possible. EX: When you break a beaker, you tell the teacher.  
When you are trying to find the volume of a liquid, what lab equipment would you use?   graduated cylinder EX: When you are trying find out how much liquid in a graduated cylinder.  
What would you use a ruler for?   To measure how long something is. EX: Measuring how long your pencil is.  
What is a physical change?   A change where a substance physically changes,but its chemical properties dtay the same. EX: melting ice  
What are the parts of an atom?   Electron, protons, netrons. EX: hydrogen has 1 electron, 0 netrons, 1 proton  
What does the periodic table show?   It shows all the elements by the order of increasing atomic number. EX: Hydrogen, Helium...  
What is a chemical change?   A change in which a subatance changes its chemical properties. EX: baking soda and vinigar.  
what is a chemical equation?   It is a way to describe chemical ractions using chemical formulas. EX: 2H+20->2HO  
What is Newton's 1st Law?   An object at rest stays at rest until acted on by an unbalanced force. An object in motion will stay in motion unless acted on by an unbalanced force. EX: Riding a skateboard and then falling when you hit the curb.  
What is Newton's 2nd Law?   The acceleration of an object depends on the mass and size of the object. EX: when your dad throws a pebble farther then you because he is using more force.  
What is Newton's 3rd Law?   For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. EX: Rowing a conoe.  
What does it mean whan the line on an acceleration graph is straight?   It means there is a constant acceleration. EX: Not speeding up.  
What does it mean when the line on a speed graph is going down?   It means you are going back to were you started. EX: returning home.  
Describe an elliptical galaxy.   A galaxy that is usually large and bright.  
What is a light year?   It is the distance light travels in one year. EX: The distance between one star and another is 1 light year.  
Where can gamma rays be found in space?   It is found all over the universe.  
Describe black holes.   They can suck up galaxies and light can't even escape.
