| Cytology | Study of cells

| Cytoplasm | material located within the cell membrane that is not part of the nucleus

| Nucleus | Structure within the cell that contains nucleoplasm, chromosomes, and the surrounding membrane

| Hyperplasia | abnormal increase in the # of cells in normal arrangement in an organ/tissue/cell

| Dysplasia | abnormal growth or development of an organ/tissue/cell

| Anaplasia | change in the structure of cells and their orientation to each other

||||
| Neoplasia | abnormal new growth of tissue in which mulitplication of cells in uncontrolled, more rapid then normal and progressive

Review the information in the table. When you are ready to quiz yourself you can hide individual columns or the entire table. Then you can click on the empty cells to reveal the answer. Try to recall what will be displayed before clicking the empty cell.
To hide a column, click on the column name.
To hide the entire table, click on the "Hide All" button.
