| WHat is an evergreen? | Green all year. Keeps its leaves year round.

| What are deciduous trees? | They loose their leaves the the same time each year and grow back in spring.

| WHat happens when chlorophyll in the leaves break down in the fall? | The hidden red and orange pigments come out and take over. Usually the green consues the other colors because it is darker.
