| This is a benign skin lesion that in appearance can look just like melanoma | Seborrheic Keratosis. Hereditary and usually occur after 30's. Tx not necessary unless symptomatic

| Skin tags are aka | Acrochordon. Usually appear after 30's. Asymptomatic lesions require no treatment

||||
| Where do Achrochordon's occur? | Occur in the axilla, neck, groin, eyelids, antecubital and popliteal fossae, inframammary folds especially in large-breasted women, beltline, and other areas where friction occurs. More common in obese and in women

||||
| Very common, benign, firm dermal papule | Dermatofibroma
🗑
|
||||
| _____ is associated with a "dimple sign" or "button sign" | Dermatofibroma. A tiny button of scar tissue. Lesions arise spontaneously or secondary to insect bites or trauma when shaving legs.

| Fatty tumors aka | lipoma. Subcutaneous. Lesions are mobile and feel rubbery. Familial types, more common in areas of trauma.

| These lesions are filled with keratin and when ruptured or manually expressed, it has a cheesy consistency and a nasty odor. | Epidermal Cyst

| Epidermal Cysts are most commonly found in | Hair bearing areas, but may occur anywhere. Treatment is not indicated unless symptomatic or located on the face. Tx is ID or excision. Sometimes has a visible opening.

| This Nevi looks like a gross cluster of pink little bubbles | Intradermal Nevus. mainly appear during or after adolescence

| Etiology of Halo Nevus | Autoimmune phenomena. A preexisting nevus of any type which is surrounded by a rim of depigmentation. Perform a complete skin exam as this phenomenon may occur in vitiligo and in malignant melanoma

| These nevi are common in kids, rapid growth, and occurs most common on face, scalp, neck and legs | Spitz Nevus

| Approach to Spitz Nevus | Excision is recommended since melanoma has been reported to arise in Spitz nevi, albeit rarely. This is an ongoing controversy.

| This Nevi looks like a chocolate chip cookie. Appear in childhood, are benign, and persist | Nevus Spilus; congenital. No tx necessary

| Sign of Leser-Trelat | Sudden eruption of many seborrheic keratoses may be a cutaneous sign of internal malignancy

| Stucco Keratosis and Dermatosis Papulosa Nigra are forms of | seborrheic keratosis
