Boiling Point   The temperature at which a liquid turns to a gas at any location throughout the liquid
Chemical change   A change in the nature of a material in which new substances are formed
Chemical properties   Those properties of a substance that can be determined only by the formation of new materials
Condensation   The process in which a gas turns into a liquid
Deposition   The process by which a gas becomes a solid without becoming a liquid in between
Evaporation   The process in which a liquid turns to a gas, but only at the surface of the liquid

Gas   A material without a fixed volume and without a fixed shape
Liquid   A material with a fixed volume but without a fixed shape
Melting   The process by which a solid turns into a liquid
Melting point   The temperature at which a solid turns into a liquid
Physical change   When a material is changed in a manner such that no new substances are formed
Physical properties   Those properties of a substance that can be determined without the formation of new materials
