What is suicide?  Intentional, direct, and conscious taking of one's own life.  
What are factors that would raise the risk of suicide?  White, Native American, Male, unsatisfactory career, alone, alcohol and drug consumption, etc.  
Egoistic suicide:  Suicide committed because of Dramatic change  
Altruistic suicide:  Suicide committed For the greater good; for honor  
Anomic suicide  Suicide Committed for Hopelessness, difficulties reasons. (depression)  
Victims of Suicide include:  Children & adolescents, college students, Elderly peoples  
What is Lethality?  The probability of ending one's life  
When working with potentially suicidal person: (3 things)  1. Know associated factors. 2. Determine probability (lethality). 3. Implement appropriate action  
Clues to Suicidal Intent:  Precipitating intent, "Practice Run", putting affairs into order, take long trip, depression, insomnia, guilt, Verbal comm. of intent, etc.
