What is an Expression?   An algebraic expression is a mathematical phrase that can contain ordinary numbers, variables (like x or y) and operators (like add,subtract,multiply, and divide). Here are some algebraic expressions:

What is an Integer?   A whole number; a number that is not a fraction.

What is a Rational Number?   An integer or a fraction.

What is an Whole Number?   A number without fractions; an integer.

What is an Graph?   A diagram of values, usually shown as lines or bars.

What is an equation?   A statement that the values of two mathematical expressions are equal (indicated by the sign =).

What is a Greatest Common Factor?   The highest number that divides exactly into two or more numbers.

What is a Least Common Multiple?   owest common multiple: the smallest multiple that is exactly divisible by every member of a set of numbers

What is a Rational Number?   An integer or a fraction.

What is a mixed number?   A number consisting of an integer and a proper fraction.
