Citizen’s role in Absolute Monarchy	no role given to citizens. Individual rights not protected. Citizen action must usually take form of a revolution/overthrow
Dictatorship -who is leader? -how did leader get this power?	One Individual person the Dictator is the leader usually power is aquired (gotten) and maintained (kept) BY FORCE of military threat
Leader’s Power in Dictatorship	holds and/or abuses an extraordinary amount of personal power has the power to make laws without any restraint No checks and balances Dictator is not held responsible to the will of the people
Citizen’s role in Dictatorship	no role given to citizens. Individual rights not protected. Only ways citizens can participate is through revolution/overthrow.

Leader’s Power in Theocracy	Leader constrained only by religious law claim authority to rule is god given (so its hard to argue them)- DIVINE RIGHT sometimes theocratic leeaders rule aside other forms of government that can then limit the religious ruler
Citizen’s role in Theocracy	Role is very limited citizens are expected to follow Gods laws and not question the religious authority. Citizen’s individual rights are only supported if also supported in religious text.
Constitutional Monarchy -who is leader? -how did leader get this power?	King/Queen acts as a figure head who is more a part of the culture then an actual ruler constitutional monarch inherits role by birth
Leader’s Power in Constitutional Monarchy	.limits on King/Queen who must rule within the constitution 2. Power also limited by the political government that the king lives in - typically a PARLIAMENTARY DEMOCRACY
Citizen’s role in Constitutional Monarchy	1. Citizens tend to play a large as usually the const. monarch rules along side a parlimentary democracy. 2. Citizens rights are protected and thus they engage in all of the different types of political action including voting, demonstrations, etc.
