When you are running down the court with your basketball you cannot carry it without it hitting the floor, you must bounce it on and off the floor and have it moving along side you. This is called dribbling. |

Defense is when the opposing team has posession of the ball and is on their way down the court. When on defense you are protecting your net along with four of your other team mates. |

Offence is when you have possesion of the basketball and you are attempting to score the basketball with help from your fellow team mates. |
