Autotroph an organism that can make it's own food/energy. Example: Plants
Heterotroph an organism that depends on other organisms to supply its food/energy. Example: Humans and Animals
Chlorophyll a green pigment on the chloroplasts
Stomata opening of the underside of a leaf. Lets out oxygen and brings in carbon dioxide
Photosynthesis- Stage 1 Stage 1: the process of a plant capturing the energy of the sun by chlorophyll absorbing the energy in the chloroplasts.
Photosynthesis- Stage 2 Stage 2: the cell uses the energy to produce sugar and oxygen. Carbon dioxide + water = ---yields----> sugar + oxygen
Respiration cells break down sugar and release the energy
