Coordinate Plane!

Brain-Pop Vocabulary

Plane a flat surface with length and width , but no depth
Perpendiclar A straight line at an angle of 90° to a given line, plane, or surface.
Axis The vertical and horizontal lines that make up the quadrants of a coordinate plane. The vertical axis is usally referred to as the y axis and the horizontal axis is usually referred to as the x axis.
Horizontal Parallel to the plane of the horizon; at right angles to the vertical. A horizontal line, plane, etc
Vertical At right angles to a horizontal plane; in a direction, or having an alignment, such that the top is directly above the bottom. A vertical line or plane.
Coordinates the "address" of the origin (-4, 3)
Quadrant the section of the coordinate plane.
