Microbes are generally organized into 7 taxa. Name the taxa. kingdom, phylum, class, order, family, genus, and species.
Of the 7 taxa, which 2 are generally used to identify a given microbe? Genus and species are used to identify a microbe.
what are organisms called when they have small differences but are still in the same genus and species? Similar organisms are called biovars if they vary in biological properties, or serovars, if they differ immunologically. Strains are any type of variation.

List the 2 fundamentally different types of cells. Why are the different? Prokaryotes (Bacteria and Archaea)--no nucleus. Eukaryotes (Eukarya)--true nucleus
