QuestionAnswer
predicting reading strategy; making a quess about what will happen in the story by using text clues
prefix word part added to the front of a root word (ex. dis - disbelieve)

problem/solution text structure in which the main ideas are organized into two parts- problem and solution

Question/Answer organizational pattern that involves the author posing questions about a subject or topic, then providing important information to support that

resolution (denouement) portion of a play or story where the central problem is solved; after the climax and falling action
rising action event in a story that move the plot forward; builds toward the climax of the story
root word derived from ancient Greek and Latin languages; it cannot stand alone and must be combined with other word parts
sarcasm form of verbal irony, usually harsh, that is often used as an insult
