what is Phenotype? Trait that you see.. (hazel eyes)
what is a allele? a form of a gene
what is mitosis? When a cell is going to divide and reproduce itself, the DNA has to be duplicated as well
what is moisis? Sperm and egg cells have only half the number of chromosomes of "normal" cells. that way, when they combine, the resulting cell has a complete set. For humans, we have 23 pairs of chromosomes. So, that's a total of 46 chromosomes.
what sex gender makes the gender with its chromosomes? The male determines the gender with its chromosomes,,
what is the tay-sachs diease? It is a diease which it effects young children with the european jewish decent , the children often die at a young age in life,
what is PKU diease? is a diease where yourbody doesnt has alot of enzymes. if you cant take carre of PKU If, however, the condition is left untreated, it can cause problems with brain development, leading to progressive mental retardation, brain damage, and seizures.
What is sickle cell diease? Sickle cell disease is a chronic illness that comes from two parents who have sickle cell trait. This disease can be passed on if both parents have a sickle cell trait & gives that child each trait.
What is A Gamete ? a mature sexual reproductive cell having a single set of unpaired chromosomes
