Crohn's disease Inflammation, ulcers or tumors along the length of the GI tract
What is the main symptoms of Crohn's disease? Weight loss, fever, diarrhea, pain and many nutrients deficiencies
What is the diet recommendation for Crohn's disease? Low fiber and lactose diet
Ulcerative colitis Inflammation and ulcers of the arge intestine
What is the symptoms of Ulcerative Colitis? Severe diarrhea, rectum bleeding, cramps and weight loss
What is the diet recommendation for Ulcerative Colitis? High protein, low fat and fiber diet
Intestinal surgery on the small intestines Up to 50% can be removed without severe malabsorption, remaining will lengthens and thickens to get over lost
What are the side effects of surgery on the small intestines? Short bowel syndrome: diarrhea, weight loss, anemia, hypocalcemia and hypomagnesemia
What is the diet recommendation for those who had surgery on small intestines? High carbs, low fat and oxalate, extra vits and minerals diet
