Herbs that Transform Damp & Wind Damp

Wind Damp: Hai Tong Pi (Cortex Erythinae) It's Bitter, Acrid, Neutral--GOES TO ONLY LIVER! What are 3 things Cormac wants you to know? Pi: itching and peeing (ezcema & ("Yang") edema. But perhaps more importantly: "arthritis anywhere in the body"
Wind Damp: Qin Jiao (Radix Gentianae) Remember the "gentle" here. BA(sl)C. LR/GB-ST A Wind-Damp herb that actually NOURISHES YIIN! So can be used in cases of XU Heat (night sweats/hot flashes). Also Damp-Heat Jaundice (b/c of LR-GB?). And MOISTENS the intestine!
Wind Damp: Wei Ling Xian (Radix Clematidis) aka "Awesome Spiritual Immortal" Two unique things. Two odd indications. Clematis root is SALTY (and Acrid/Warm). Goes to ONLY URINARY BLADDER. Two odd indications: "bone steaming" tidal fever (cancer/diabetes pts.); ARTHRALGIA/NUMBNESS/PARALYSIS anywhere in body
Wind Damp: Can Sha (Excrementum Bombycis Mori) Of course it is Sweet. (And AW). Goes to SP/ST & LR. Used for HEAT-BI even though it is Warm (!!??), so he says rheumatoid arthritis. Also harmonizes MJ and can be used topically (yeh sure) for itching.
TRANSFORM Damp: Huo Xiang (Herba Agastaches seu Pogostemi) aka Patchouli "If you remember nothing else about Huo Xiang atak Patchouli, remember this..." AslWA. SP/ST LU. HARMONIZES MJ-- so good for nausea/vomiting of stomach flu, for example. Also Summer Heat (??) and Release the Exterior
Wind Damp: Du Huo (Radix Angelicae Pubescentis) aka Pubescent Angelica Root or "Self-Reliant Existence" What is the one thing CF said to know? "Pain in the lower body." Is BAW goes to LR/KD/UB
TRANSFORM Damp: Sha Ren (Fructus Amomi) aka Grains of Paradise Fruit or "Sand Seeds" Like most TRANSFORM DAMP, enters SP/ST and is AWA. But what crazy things does it do? 1. Bitch slaps the Spleen. 2. Regulates qi of MJ. 3. CALMS THE FETUS. 4. Used to cut the cloying effect of tonic formulas. 5. Warm the Spleen; stop diarrhea 6. Morning sickness
Wind Damp: Mu Gua (Fructus Chaenomelis) aka "Wood Melon" What is its unique taste? And its (sort of related) unique indication? SOUR (and Warm). Enters LR and SP!! CF says "spams" and pain in Lower Body. Also "clears Cold-Damp from MJ" and "great for Leg Qi edema"
TRANSFORM Damp: Pei Lan (Herba Eupatorii) aka "Ornamental Orchid" Acrid and Neutral. SP/ST. Harmonizes MJ for n/v. Summer heat. Excessive salivation.
TRANSFORM Damp: Cao Dou Kou (Semen Alpiniae Katsumadai) aka "Grass Cardamom" AWA. SP/ST. SPLEEN YANG DEFICIENCY (lethargy, loose stools, undigested food in stool)
TRANSFORM Damp: Cao Dou Kou (Semen Alpiniae Katsumadai) aka "Grass Cardamom" Add this LAST FIVE MINUTES
TRANSFORM Damp: Cao Guo (Fructus Amomi Tsaoko) aka "Grass Fruit" or Chinese cardamom fruit AWA. SP/ST. Pretty much same as Pei Lan and Hua Xiang
