Hypothesentests

Konfidenzintervall Intervall von Werten meist angegeben als Schätzer +- Fehler, so dass bei einem vorgegebenen Anteil aller zufälligen Stichproben der wahre Parameter im Intervall liegt
Nullhypothese Vermutung, die in einem Hypothesentest geprüft wird
Alternativhypothese Vermutung, auf die geschlossen wird, wenn gefunden wird, dass die Nullhypothese unwahrscheinlich ist
Zweiseitige Alternative Interesse für Abweichung in beide Richtungen vom vermuteten Parameterwert
Einseitige Alternative Interesse für Abweichung nur in eine Richtung vom vermuteten Parameterwert
p-Wert Wahrscheinlichkeit, einen Wert der Teststatistik zu beobachten, der mindestens so weit vom vermuteten Wert liegt wie die beobachtete Statistik unter Annahme der Nullhypothese
Signifikanzniveau Bestimmt kritischen Wert der Teststatistik
Signifikanzniveau Schwelle für den p-Wert, die bestimmt, wann die Nullhypothese abgelehnt wird
statistisch signifikant p-Wert liegt unter dem Signifikanzniveau
Fehler 1. Art Wahrscheinlichkeit, die Nullhypothese fälschlicherweise zu verwerfen
Fehler 2. Art Wahrscheinlichkeit, die Nullhypothese fälschlicherweise beizubehalten
Power Wahrscheinlichkeit, dass ein Hypothesentest korrekterweise eine falsche Nullhypothese ablehnt
