Guidelines 2005 information relating to ACLS treatment

Vasopressin 40 units Used as alternative to 1st or 2nd dose of Epi

6 H's and 6 T's Possible and treatable causes of PEA and asystole

Hypovolemia Easiest corrected of the probable causes of PEA and asystole
360 joules monophasic Initial defibrillation dosage in VF and Pulseless VT
Intraosseous Next prefered route of drug administration after IV
Primary confirmation 5 point ausculation after intubation to ensure successful ET placement
