Chronic Cardiac failure(compensated) ^retention of fluids by the kidney, prog. recovery of the heart musc. heart compensates for dec. CO & meets the bodies needs. no symptoms unless exercise
decompensated HF severely damaged no comp. can fix.fluid retention maintained inc. edema. Heart can't pump suf. blood to make kidneys fx adeqately
symptoms of dec.HF retention of fluid=>^mean sys filling pressure=>^RAP=>overstretched edematous heart can't pump=>pulm edema
R heart failure sys. cong, hepatomegaly, ascites, cyanosis, pedal edema, dec. RH o/p dec. pulm circ dec.LH output
