| WHat is an evergreen? | Green all year. Keeps its leaves year round. |
| What are deciduous trees? | They loose their leaves the the same time each year and grow back in spring. |
| WHat happens when chlorophyll in the leaves break down in the fall? | The hidden red and orange pigments come out and take over. Usually the green consues the other colors because it is darker. |
| WHat is a long day plant? | Plants that only flower in early summer. |
| What is a short day plant. | PLants that only flower in late summer. |
| What are annuals? | They are plants that complete their life cycle in one season. |
| What are perrenials? | Plants that come back every year an have an on going life cycle. |
