What is afterlife? The next life, in which the dead are believed to live again
What is an ancestor? A person from whom one is descended, especially if of a generation earlier than a grandparent
What is an artisan? A worker who is especially skilled in making something, such as baskets, leather goods, tools, jewelry, pottery, or clothes
What is Buddhism? A religion based on the teachings of Buddha, characterized by the belief that enlightenment comes from within rather than from worshipping gods
What is a canal? A waterway dug into the earth or modified by people to transport water or people, or provide drainage
What is a citadel? A fortress in a city
What is a democracy? A form of government in which citizens govern themselves
