What was the purpose of the Foriegn intellegence Survallence Act for Wiretapping? It prohibits NSA from interapting calls or other electronic communications without warrant
After 9/11 what did the NSA do for wiretapping? they listened into calls without court approval anyways
WIRETWhat did Bush do wrong with wiretapping? He allowed wiretapping without warrant
Who is Jack Abramoff? A lobbyist, who wanted to negotiate and fight for policy
What got Jack Abramoff in trouble? 1) tax fraud 2) Money laundering 3) Tax evasions
Laundering hiding source of wear money is coming from by moving it through a hidden source
What part of government is Jack from? Republican
What is the Concern? Wants to be 2006 senate
Why did Jack Abramoff do it? He needed money
What did Abramoff do with the money? It did not go to support the indians, which is what he made peopbe beilve, but it went to other programs where he could make money off of.
Why is Abramoff ending up with a lighter sentece? Because he told who was part of his "influence peddling" circle
Who is Sanda Day O'Conner? Moderate Judge, leaveing the Supreme court so now there is a vacancy
Who is Sam Alito? He came from a conservative background, has his view on the constitution, and hopes to become the next senator
What are the two kinds of judges? 1) literal interpretation (Stay as founding fathers wanted it) 2) Living document (open for interpretation
Who was Martin Luther King? He was a civil rights leader, a minister-baptist, a prophetic leader, has a true sense of humility
What is a Prophetic leader? Leaders that go above their immediate causes, look beyond race and religion to the larger world
Who are other prophetic leaders similar to MLK? Malcom X, Sorjourny Truth, WEB DeBois, Booker T. Washington
What is humility? so confident in oneself that they dont have to prove themselves to others
