Chapter 5 Vocabulary

What is the least common denominator? The least common denominator of two or more fractions is the least common multiple (LCM) of their denominators.
What is a least common multiple? The least common multiple of two or more numbers is the least number that is a common multiple.
What is a multiple? A multiple of a number is the product of that number and any nonzero whole number.
What is a reciprocal? Reciprocals are 2 numbers with a product.
What is a repeating decimal? A repeating decimal is a decimal in which the same block of digits repeats without end.
What is a terminating decimal? A terminating decimal is a decimal with a finite number of digits.
