QuestionAnswer
controlled experiment an expiriment in which all of the variables except for one to stay the sane.
hyothesis a possible explination for a set of observations or a answer to scientific question; must be testable.
Inference an interpretation of an observation based on evidence and prior knoledge
manipulated variable the one factor that a scientist changes during an expirement ; also called independent variable
Observation the process of using one or more sences to gather infromation
Responding Variable the factor that changes as a result of changes to the manipulated variable in an expirement
Science a way about learning about the natural world
Scientifis inquiry The diverse ways in which scientists study the natural world
Scientific law a statement that describes what scientists expect to happpen every time under a perticular set of conditions
Scientific theory a well tested scientific concept that explains a wide range of observations
Varible the scientist changes one variable , called the manipulated variable or independent variable.
