Pseudoscience | A collection of beliefs or practices mistakenly regarded as being based on scientific method. |
Astrology | The study of the movements and relative positions of celestial bodies interpreted as having an influence on human affairs and the natural world. |
Zodiac | A belt of the heavens within about 8 degrees either side of the ecliptic, including all apparent positions of the sun, moon, and most familiar planets. It is divided into twelve equal divisions or signs. |
Magic | The power of apparently influencing the course of events by using mysterious or supernatural forces. |
Alchemy | A philosophical and protoscientific tradition practiced throughout Egypt and Eurasia which aimed to purify, mature, and perfect certain objects. |
Illusion | An illusion is a distortion of the senses, revealing how the brain normally organizes and interprets sensory stimulation. Though illusions distort reality, they are generally shared by most people. |
Horoscope | A forecast of a person's future, typically including a delineation of character and circumstances, based on the relative positions of the stars and planets at the time of that person's birth. |
