parentheses Parentheses or "round brackets" are the familiar ( ) symbols used in pairs to group things together.
bracketes Brackets are symbols used in pairs to group things together. Types of brackets include: parentheses or "round brackets" ( ) "square brackets" or "box brackets" [ ] braces or "curly brackets" { } "angle brackets" < >
braces The symbols { and } which are used to indicate sets and bring things together.
numerical expressions An expression that consists only of numbers with operation symbols.
numerical patterns is a list of numbers that occur in some predictable way.
ordered pairs Two numbers written in a certain order. Usually written in parentheses like this: (4,5)
coordinate plane The plane containing the "x" axis and "y" axis.
