In their attempts to describe the relationship between sociology and common sense, sociologists argue what? Sociology depends on systematic analysis through research, whereas common sense does not

Why do humans create culture? Humans lack the complex instincts present in other animals, and as such they must construct a relationship to nature and with each other. We do this through the construction of shared culture
What does material culture consist of? Our modification of the physical environment
What is cognitive culture? Thinking, including language, values, beliefs, and knowledge
What does normative culture provide? Rules for behavior
