Exponential Functions

Termy=ab^x a number raised to a p
exponent a small raised number that that tells how many times factor is used
base the number that is raised to a power in an exponential expression
standard form a number - the most common way we express quantities
scientific notation a short way to write a very large or small number
exponential growth a pattern of increase which is found by multiply by a number greater than 1
growth factor the constant factor that each value in an exponential growth pattern is multiplied by to get the next value
