volume the volume of an object is the space it takes up.
mass is the amount of matter in an object
matter is anything that has mass and volume
weight is how strongly gravity pulls on it
state of matter is one of the three forms that matter can take solid, liquid, or gas
melting point is the temperature at which a solid changes to liquid
evaporation the fastest particles on the surface of the liquid escape into the air and become gas
boiling point is the temperature at which a liquid rapidly changes to gas
freezing point of a substance is the same as the melting point
sublimation during sublimation a solid changes to a gas
density density is a measure of how tightly matter is packed in an object
