Domain Set of x-xoordinates
Function When every element is paired with exactly one element of the range
Function Notation Indicates that an equation is a function.
Independent Variable Variable that do not rely on another variable
Linear Equation Equation between two variables that gives a straight line when it's on a graph.

Mapping Diagram Shows how the elements are paired.
Parent Function Simplest function of a family of functions.
Point-Slope Form Y− y1 = m(x − x1)
Range Difference between the lowest and highest values.
Reflection Geometric figure is reflected across a line.
Relation Relation between two sets is a collection of ordered pairs containing one object from each set.
Scatter Plot Graph of plotted points that show the relationship between two sets of data.
Shrink Plane figure is distorted vertically.
Slope slope of a line is a # that describes both the direction and the steepness of the line.
Slope-Intercept Form Y=Mx+B
Standard Form Ax+By=C
Stretch Transformation by an invariant line and a scale factor (one-way stretch) or two invariant lines and corresponding scale factors (two-way stretch).
Transformation Original shape of the object is called the pre-image and the final shape and position of the object is the image.
Trend Line Line showing the general direction that a group of points seem to be heading.
Vertex Where 2 points meet.
Vertical-Line Test Visual way to determine if a curve is a graph of a function or not.
X-Intercept Crosses the x-axis
