Circulatory System

Essentials to healthcare

Arteries Carry blood away from the heart.
Capillaries Connect arterioles with venules, the smallest veins.
Erythrocytes Or red blood cells, are produced in red bones marrow at a rate of about one million per minute.
Left Artium Receives oxygenated blood from the lungs.
Left Ventricles Receives blood from the left atrium and pumps the blood into the aorta for transports to the body cells.
Right Atrium Receives blood as it returns from the body cells.
Right Ventricles Receives blood from the right atrium and pumps the blood into the pulmonary artery, which carries the blood to lungs for oxygen.
Septum Is a muscular wall that separates the heart into a right side and left side.
Veins Are blood vessels that carry blood back to the heart.
