Prime Time

Prime number A whole number that has exactly two factors, 1 and itself
Composite number A whole number with more than two factors
Greatest Common Factor The greatest factor that two or more numbers share
Multiple The product of a given whole number and another whole number
Least Common Multiple The smallest multiple that two or more numbers share
Prime factorization This process breaks down a product into its prime factors. There is only one _________ for each product
Exponent A small, raised number that tells how many times a factor is used
Order of Operations The rules for carrying out arithmetic operations... PEMDAS
Equivalent expressions Expressions that represent the same quantity or have the same value
Odd number Any integer that is NOT divisible by two; ends in 1, 3, 5, 7, or 9
Even number Any interger that IS divisible by two; ends in 2, 4, 6, 8, or 0
Square number The product when a number is multiplied by itself
Cubed number The product of a number multiplied by itself two times
