QuestionAnswer
Constitution A written plan that provides the basic frame-work of a government
Delegate A person sent or authorized to represent others.
Compromise An agreement or a settlement of a dispute that is reached by each side making concessions. They take and leave some things to make both parties happy.
Framers 55 men who put the Constitution together, they framed our country. ex. James Madison
Confederation Also known as confederacy or league, is a union of political units for common action in relation to other units. A group of states loosely tied together.
Electors Someone with the right to vote in an election.
Territory A region designated by congress and organized under a government. A territory may apply to become a state when it has a large enough population.
Political Party A political party is an organization of people which seeks to achieve goals common to its members through the acquisition and exercise of political power.
Chief Executive The President
Republic a state in which the supreme power rests in the body of citizens entitled to vote and is exercised by representatives chosen directly or indirectly by them. Any body of people viewed as a commonwealth.
Executive To do what you are supposed to do and how it is supposed to be done.
Legislature A group of people with the power to change laws.
