4 types of leaders Autocratic Democratic Laissez-faire Paternalistic
What is an Autocratic Leader? Does not share authority with workers- prefers to make most of the decisions themselves
What is a Democratic Manager? Are willing to discuss issues with staff & delegate responsibility down the chain of command. Trust staff Make decisions through consultation with staff
What is a Laissez-faire Manager? Gives staff general goals & allows the staff achieve these goals however they see fit. Trust staff Delegate decision making to staff Managers only get involved in very important issues.
What is Organisational Culture? Describes the businesses atmosphere, values & rules which guide the attitudes, management style and decision-making approach of a business.
