Mrs. Crowe's Word Problems review

A farmer has 5 goats, 7 cows, and 3 pigs. How many animals does the farmer have on his farm? 5+7+3=15
There were 17 kids waiting in line at lunch. 9 kids are still waiting in line. How many kids already have their food? 17-9=8
Mr. Bridges has a basket of 15 crayons. 6 of the crayons are broken. How many crayons are not broken? 15-6=9
Jane collected 12 shells last week. She added 5 new shells to her collection this week. How many shells does she have now? 12+5=17
Mark collected 4 baseball cards in the morning, 8 baseball cards at lunch, and another 6 baseball cards after school. How many baseball cards did he collect altogether? 4+8+6=18
Jeff has a bag of 15 apples. Of those apples, 6 are red apples. How many apples are not red? 15-6=9
Mrs. Crowe placed a stack of 11 books on the table. She later passed out 4 of the books. How many books were left on the table? 11-4=7
Ben has lots of pets. He has 3 dogs, 7 fish, and 4 cats. How many pets does Ben have in all? 3+7+4=14
