Math words and definitions

Equation A statement that the values of two mathematical expressions are equal.
Equivalent Equation Equation that have the same solution.
Multi-Step Equation An equation or inequality that requires two or mare step to solve.
Consecutive Integers Follow each other in order.
Identities The fact of being who or what a thing is.
Literal Equations Variables represents known values.
Inequality Relation between two expressions that are not equal.
Compound Inequality Sentence with two inequality joined by the word "or" and "and".
Intersection A point or line common to lines or surfaces that intersect.
Union The action or fact of joining or being joined.
Deviation Amount by which a single measurement differs.
Outlier Doesn't fit in with the group of numbers.
Absolute Value Magnitude of real numbers without regard to it's sign.
