Plant Life Cycle

Seeds The first stage of the plant life cycle. Most plants start growing from a seed.
Sprout The second stage of the plant life cycle. Small roots grow down while a sprout grows out of the ground.
Seedling A small, thin plant with just a few leaves is called a seedling. The seedling is the third stage of the plant life cycle.
Sapling As the seedling grows bigger, it becomes a sapling. Sometimes the sapling is called a young adult plant.
Adult Plant A sapling grows larger and becomes an adult plant with flowers and fruit.
