Secant of a Circle A line that contains a chord
Tangent to a Circle A line that lies in the plane of a circle and that intersects the circle at exactly one point(point of tangency)
Circle The set of all points in a plane at a given distance fron a given point in the plane
Radius A segment from a point of a circle or a sphere to the center
Congruent Circles Circles with the same radius
Concentric Circles Circlesthat lie in the same planethat share the same center
Inscribed Angle Angle whose vertex lies on a circle and whose sides contain chords of the circle
Central Angel Angle whose vertex is the center of a circle and whose sides contain radii of the circle.
Circumference Distance around a circle, that is, the perimeter of a circle.
Arc Length A fraction of the circumference of a circle defined by the arc.
Arc of a Circle Two points on a circle and continuous part of the circle between the two points.
Semicircle An arc of circle whose endpoints are the endpoints of a diameter.
Minor Arc An arc of a circle whose length is less than the length of a semicircle of the circle
Major Arc An arc of a circle whose length is greater than the length of a semicircle of the circle.
