Circle description

TermDefinition
Chord A segment whose endpoints lie on a circle.
Diameter A caord that contains the center of a circle
Secant of a circle A line that contains a cord
Tangent to a circle a line that lies in the plane of a circle and that intersects the circle at exactly one point.
circle The set of all points in a given point in the plane
Radius A segment from a point on a circle of a asphere to the center
congruent Circles Circles with the same radius.
Concentric Circles Circles that lie in the same plane that share the same center.
Inscribed Angle Angle whose vertex lies on a circle and hose sides contain chords on the circle.
Central Angle Angle whose vertex is the center of a circle and whose sides contain radii of a circle.
Circumference Distance around a circle that is the perimeter of a circle .
Arc Length A fraction of the Circumference of a circle defined by the arc
Arc of a circle Two points on a circle and the continuous part of the circle betgween the two points
Semicircle An arc of a circle whose endpoints are the endpoints of the diameter
Minor arc Ana arc of a circe whose lenght is less than the lenght of a semicircle of the ciercle
Major arc An Arc of a circle whose lenght is greater than the lenght of a semicircle of the circle
