thermal any kind of power station where steam drives a turbine
biofuel a fuel made from harvested crops or from plant or animal waste
solar uses energy (light and/or infra-red) from the Sun
geothermal uses thermal energy from rocks to generate electricity
tidal uses energy from the tides in the sea / ocean to generate electricity
