Personification Give human traits to a nonhuman thing
Metaphor Comparing 2 things using the words like or as
Stanza A Poem paragraph
Onomatopoeia Words that sound like the object or actions they refer to
Rhyme Words that have the same ending sound
Refrain A group of lines repeated two times or more
Free Verse Written without a rhyme, meter, or length
Hyperbole A figure of speech in which exaggeration is used for emphasis or effect. ex:This book weighs a ton.
