immigrant Someone who has emigrated to a new place.
descendants Proceeding from an ancestor or source.
pioneers Early settlers in a territory.
frontier That part of a country which fronts or faces another country or an unsettled region.
abolish To do away with completely.
indentured servant People who could not afford to pay a ticket price for a voyage. They signed on with ship captains and worked to repay their ticket cost before being set free.
