William Penn Starts the Colony of Pennsylvania

Church of England The King's Church in England during the 1600s.
General Assembly A group of people from Pennsylvania appointed to make rules on how that state should be governed.
Holy Experiment A plan William Penn began that stated all could worship whomever they saw fit, people had a say in government, and where all people were created as equals.
imprison To be put in jail.
land grant Being granted or give an area of land.
religious freedom Being able to worship whatever or whomever you see fit.
survive To remain alive.
