What is an example of a biotic factor? plants, animals, fungi, protists, bacteria
What is a consumer? They consume (eat) plants or other animals that eat plants
What is an example of a consumer? Animals
What is a decomposer? They decompose or break down dead plants and animals into useful materials for the soil
What is an example of a decomposer? fungi, bacteria, protists
What is a niche? Each species' role in a food web
What are adaptations? Features that help the survival of a species in an ecosystem
What are biomes? Large land regions with given climates
What are examples of biomes? Desert=hot, dry Tropical Rainforest=rainy, hot Tundra=cold, little precipitation
